PATRICK SPEAKS
Patrick Irvine is the Executive Director of PACTS Inc., a Black Advocacy Organization aimed at developing the Black Community to its maximum potential through a focus on education and economics. His experience as a business consultant, supported by a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma- process improvement as well as a building relationship with the founder of UI helped pave the way. His passion for the Black Community spurred by his own cultural experiences and research brought PACTS to the catchphrase. "We are what WE have been waiting for."

Patrick’s passion for the Black Community will not take a back seat to anything else. He is “unapologetically pro-black,” often heard saying - “I see the need and I just want the best for my community.” In 2014 he shut down his Lean Six Sigma Consulting company in order to focus full time on community development work in the Black Community. He has worked with several organizations inclusive of: Builders of Forever, Millennial Coalitions, Nakao Outreach, and a plethora of others. He has used his business experience to focus on building nonprofit organizations serving as a member of the board of directors for the National Association for the Preservation of African American History and Culture and On the Shoulders of Giants. He has spent time working with members of the New Era Movement and developing some of the internal structures of Urban Intellectuals. He also currently serves as co-host of the Freedom Train, a podcast which gives a platform to the movers, shakers, and writers in the Black Community, and is the host of Lessons from the Screen a show that breaks down a variety of different types of information and current events.

Patrick is a veteran of the United States Air Force. Serving widened his perspective and developed his leadership skills later used in managerial positions in Corporate America. He has received numerous awards for management and leadership. His affinity for people, personality, and thought process lead him to the pursuit and receipt of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Psychology from Argosy University. This degree along with his Lean Six Sigma training gave him the tools needed to make changes in several of his workplace environments in such a way that the entire culture of those environments were changed. While working with the Department of Health Central Pharmacy Patrick revamped several of the medication processing procedures to make them more efficient. When he went to the Department of Revenue he created a quality control process that helped track down errors and store documents. But even before all of that while in the military he was responsible for a number of safety and efficiency changes to airplane system that resulted in increased efficiency of object deployments and increased safety for those operating those systems.

Patricks’ personal life has been the foundation used and the inspiration needed to propel him through life and into success. He has a wide fan base through informational videos and social media. He conquered teenage pregnancy, run-ins with the law as a juvenile, and a difficult childhood-all of which he attributes positively to his character now.

Patrick is a native of Florida that currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife and 4 children. He enjoys cereal, long walks, and healthy debates.
